The best camera phone under 50000 in India right now is the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, thanks to its 3.5x periscope zoom and natural-looking main camera at around Rs 43,000-44,000. If you want 4K 60fps video on every lens and a rugged build, pick the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+; if you want the most reliable all-round results and seven years of updates, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is the safe choice.

Our best camera phone under 50000 list is based on specs, published Indian reviews and our research, not on our own lab tests. Prices change almost weekly in 2026 because memory costs have pushed up phone prices across the board, so every price below is labelled with the date we checked it.

Price note: Several phones that used to sit under Rs 50,000 have crossed it this year. The Google Pixel 10a is now Rs 55,999 after an October price hike, and the Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno16 start at about Rs 60,000-62,000. We've only included phones that currently sell at or below Rs 50,000. [CHECK]

1. Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: best camera phone under 50000 overall

Price: about Rs 43,366 for 8GB/128GB on Flipkart, price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK]. Its official MRP rose to Rs 54,999 in September, but it has been selling well below that online.

The (4a) Pro gets the top spot because its camera system is balanced where it matters. The 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor (1/1.56-inch, with OIS) is paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto at 3.5x, which is still unusual at this price. Smartprix's review praised its sharp 3.5x and 7x shots and a main camera that doesn't over-sharpen, and 91mobiles called it the best camera phone around Rs 50,000 in its own testing in June.

The weak spots: the 8MP ultrawide is soft and struggles in low light, rear video tops out at 4K 30fps, and colours lean slightly cool. You also get a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, IP65, and three years of Android updates plus six years of security patches.

Buy it if: you shoot portraits, food and street photos at 2x-7x zoom. Skip it if: you mostly record video.

2. Motorola Edge 70 Pro+: best for video and durability

Price: Rs 47,999 for 12GB/256GB (the only variant), price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK].

Motorola has put three 50MP rear cameras on the Edge 70 Pro+: a Sony LYT-710 main, an ultrawide with autofocus and a 3.5x periscope with OIS. According to the 91mobiles review, all lenses record 4K at 60fps [CHECK], and the front camera is also 50MP with autofocus. The review found daylight colours closer to the real scene than the Nothing, a detailed ultrawide that matches the main camera's colours, and good flare control at night. Portraits and selfies were a step behind the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.

Beyond the camera, it has a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8500 chip, 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 15W wireless charging, and IP68/IP69 plus MIL-STD-810H ratings. Motorola promises three Android upgrades and five years of security updates.

Buy it if: you want consistent results across all three lenses and strong video. Skip it if: selfies are your priority.

3. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: most reliable all-rounder with 7 years of updates

Price: about Rs 45,290-47,509 for 8GB/128GB, price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK]. It launched at Rs 59,999 in September 2025.

The S25 FE is a 2025 phone, but it makes our best camera phone under 50000 list because Samsung's processing is predictable and the price has dropped a lot. You get a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP 3x telephoto with OIS. The 91mobiles review said the 3x lens "consistently produces flattering results" and that night shots are clean, while noting it tends to crush shadows. GSMArena praised its video stabilisation; it records up to 8K 30fps on the back and 4K 60fps on the front.

The trade-offs are a smaller 4,900mAh battery, a less efficient Exynos 2400 chip and a telephoto that needs Night mode in dim light. In return you get IP68, 25W wireless charging and seven years of OS and security updates, the longest support on this list.

Buy it if: you'll keep the phone four years or more. Skip it if: battery life comes first.

4. Oppo Reno15: best for portraits and selfies

Price: Rs 47,999 for 8GB/256GB, price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK]. It was succeeded by the Reno16 in July, so stock may run low. [CHECK]

The Reno series has always leaned towards people photography, and the Reno15 continues that with a 50MP main camera (OIS), a 50MP 3.5x telephoto with OIS and a 50MP front camera. Both the rear and front cameras record 4K 60fps. Beebom's review highlighted impressive 3.5x portraits, crisp 3.5x and 7x night shots and detailed selfies. Its complaints were a soft 8MP ultrawide at night, slow image processing, and zoom shots falling apart beyond 20x.

It runs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with a compact 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 6,500mAh battery with 80W charging, and IP68/IP69. It is the smallest phone in this list, which matters if you find 6.8-inch phones hard to hold.

Buy it if: you want a compact phone for portraits and selfies. Skip it if: you need fast shot-to-shot processing.

5. Realme 16 Pro+: best for detail and battery life

Price: about Rs 46,899 for 8GB/128GB, price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK]. It launched at Rs 39,999 in January.

The Realme 16 Pro+ uses a 200MP Samsung HP5 main sensor with OIS alongside a 50MP 3.5x periscope and an 8MP ultrawide. FoneArena's review found good dynamic range, a useful periscope and detailed portraits, but called the ultrawide "underwhelming" and noted quality drops beyond 30x zoom. There is no macro mode.

Its 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging is the biggest here alongside the Vivo, and it carries IP66/68/69/69K ratings. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED screen and three OS updates round it out.

Buy it if: you want periscope zoom plus two-day battery life. Skip it if: the 8GB/128GB base variant feels tight for a 200MP camera's files.

6. Vivo V70 FE: best value camera phone under 45000

Price: about Rs 41,999-44,999 for 8GB/128GB, price as of 5 Nov 2026 [CHECK]. Vivo raised V70-series prices in August, so confirm the current listing.

The V70 FE is the cheapest pick and the only one without a telephoto lens: you get a 200MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide, plus a 50MP autofocus front camera. Digit's review found daylight shots sharp, low light "a pleasant surprise" and selfie skin tones good, though portrait edge detection was inconsistent. It earns its place with a 7,000mAh battery, 90W charging, IP68/IP69 and four OS updates with six years of security patches.

Buy it if: you want the cheapest best camera phone under 50000 on this list, your budget is closer to Rs 45,000, and you mostly shoot at 1x. Skip it if: you want optical zoom; spend a little more on the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.

How to choose the best camera mobile under 50000

Before you settle on the best camera phone under 50000 for you, check these six things:

  • Telephoto matters more than megapixels. Four of our six picks have a 3x-3.5x telephoto. That lens is what makes portraits, food and stage shots look natural. A 200MP main sensor can crop, but it won't match optical zoom in low light.
  • Check the ultrawide. It is the weakest camera on nearly every phone at this price. If you shoot landscapes or group photos, the Motorola's 50MP autofocus ultrawide is the standout.
  • OIS on the main (and ideally the zoom) lens helps night shots and steady video. Every phone here has OIS on the main camera.
  • Video: if you film a lot, look for 4K 60fps on both rear and front cameras. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is limited to 4K 30fps.
  • Updates: camera processing improves with software updates. Samsung's seven years beats everyone else here.
  • Net price vs bank-offer price. Retail listings often quote prices after card discounts. Compare the price you'll actually pay.

Phones that just missed the cut

  • Google Pixel 10a: excellent processing and seven years of updates, but its price rose to Rs 55,999 in October. Buy it if a sale drops it under Rs 50,000. [CHECK]
  • Vivo V70 and Oppo Reno16: strong camera phones, but now priced around Rs 60,000-62,000. [CHECK]

FAQs

Which is the best camera phone under 50000 in India?

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is the best camera phone under 50000 for most people because of its 3.5x periscope lens and natural main-camera tuning at around Rs 43,000-44,000 (price as of 5 Nov 2026). The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is better for video, and the Galaxy S25 FE is the most dependable all-rounder.

Which phone is best under 50000 for camera and performance together?

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ balances both best on this list. Its Dimensity 8500 chip is more powerful than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 used in the Nothing, Oppo and Realme phones, and it records 4K 60fps on every lens.

Is a 200MP camera better than a 50MP camera?

Not automatically. A 200MP sensor captures more detail in good light and allows cropping, but sensor size, OIS, processing and having a real telephoto lens matter more for everyday photos. That's why the 50MP Nothing Phone (4a) Pro ranks above the 200MP Realme and Vivo phones here.

Which is the best phone under 50000 with long software support?

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, with seven years of Android and security updates. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro (three OS plus six years of security) and Vivo V70 FE (four OS plus six years of security) come next.
